"Drawing helps me to work through difficult thoughts and emotions. Quick sketches help capture the immediacy of the moment. Here, I was feeling overwhelmed: existing mental health problems were being augmented due to relationship difficulties and being behind at work. There were a lot of factors out of my control and it was all such a mess. The one thing I could do was pick up a pencil. My pencil somehow managed to capture exactly how I was feeling, and I felt some comfort looking at it from a distance."
