"The painting is a snapshot of my mental health experience. I've always thought of my eating disorder as an unhealthy 'hand' that continues to have a tight grip on me and won't let me be free of the pain it exudes.
But recently, I've learnt that it works both ways; I also have a tight grip on the eating disorder and can't bring myself to let it go and be swallowed by the water - thoughts of 'who am I' and 'who will I turn to now' consume me. But alas, it's time to take some responsibility."
