Mindfulness Over Thinking



 

"For the longest time I'd been struggling with anxiety and depression without knowing it. I wondered why it was hard for me to do simple tasks or be in certain places feeling left alone and fearful of others' views of me. It wasn't until I started to really pay attention to my own thoughts through mindfulness meditation that I began to understand that these feelings weren't "normal". It's funny because I hate normal, so this shouldn't have been a surprise to me. When I took notice of just how many people mental illnesses affects, and how many people didn't understand those with illnesses, I created this project, hoping to start a discussion" - Marina Tezak
