Chilblains - Darren A Gray

Chilblains

When pleasures dim

In the bright of day

Cumulus shadows

Where heavens pray.

Voices ricocheting valley

Echos nestle still

Then that eerie silence

Grabs you from the chill.

Bitting to the core

Chittering rattling jaw

Eyes blood red and eager

For now entering "SODS LAW".

Nose to nose Jack Frost

Redder than Rudolph Myth

Running like a river

Anxieties flood forthwith.

Faster than collaboration

Mind scattering little kids

Washed up mixed emotions

To the relief of closed eyelids.
